The
Albion Foundation aims to provide high quality coaching via structured
sessions, whilst maintaining a positive learning environment for all players
participating within our Girls Player Development Centres and Girls Player
Development Academy. Our key aim is to develop the players technically,
tactically, physically, psychologically and socially through sessions that
mirror the West Bromwich Albion Regional Talent Club Curriculum.
Player Development Centres (PDC) are designed to offer
players extra training throughout the week to provide players with a unique
environment alongside their Grassroots club. The PDC is the first tier of
training we offer where Players are guaranteed to participate in
coaching sessions that will include unopposed and opposed technical work, game
related practices, whilst applying these skills in small sided games.
Player Development Academies (PDA’s) are designed to
accommodate the more elite players within our Player Development Centres
(PDC’s) therefore they are invite only sessions and you are NOT able to just
sign up or come along. These sessions specifically mirror the WBA RTC
(U10s-U16’s) following the same topics, structure and core unopposed sessions. The
Player Development Academy is a key link with West Bromwich Albion Regional
Talent Club, identifying elite talent and progressing them through the club’s
player pathway. We aim to provide players with a core skill set and capabilities
to cope with the demands of Elite football.
Players that are showing outstanding ability or
potential have the possibility to be referred to WBA RTC transition months.
This will be at the lead coach’s discretion and parents will be advised of the
next steps individually.
The training programme will start week commencing Monday 14th October.
Players must bring something to drink, shin pads
and appropriate footwear and clothing for a 3G pitch
