PL Kicks - Year 8 & 9 Safer Communities Football Tournament- Team Registration

Invitation to Participate in the PL Kicks 6-a-Side Football Tournament
Theme: Creating Safer Communities

The Albion Foundation is pleased to invite you to participate in our upcoming 6-a-side football tournament, centered around the theme of creating safer communities. In collaboration with various services across Sandwell, we will be delivering educational workshops alongside a day of competitive football. All participants must attend a workshop during the event to enhance their understanding of the key issues faced by young people in the local area.

Tournament Details
The PL Kicks tournament is open to students in school years 8 and 9 (ages 12-14). Matches will be played 6-a-side, with teams consisting of up to 9 players. While we welcome mixed-gender teams, please note that the WBA team will consist of male players only for this event.

Participant Requirements

  • Clothing: Participants should wear appropriate kit for football, including shin pads (if possible). Footwear suitable for AstroTurf is required; please avoid metal studs. Teams are encouraged to arrive in their CCO playing kit, although changing facilities will be available if needed.
  • Lunch and Refreshments: Participants should bring a packed lunch, drink, and any necessary medication. Please note, food will not be provided on-site, and participants will not be permitted to leave the venue during the event.
  • Forms: Ensure that both participant consent and media consent forms are completed for each player. Please inform us of any participants who do not consent to having their photo taken or if there are any other concerns regarding consent.

Expectations for Staff and Behaviour
We ask that CCO staff oversee the behaviour and attitude of their participants, ensuring that PL Kicks values and standards are upheld throughout the day. CCO staff should bring their own first aid supplies for minor incidents; however, a designated first aider will be available on-site should any medical assistance be required.

Additional Information
Further details, including risk assessments, will be provided prior to the event. If you require further information, please do not hesitate to contact Darryl Hickman at darryl.hickman@albionfoundation.co.uk.

We look forward to your participation in this exciting event!
