Shine A Light Festival - Cultural events across Sandwell in the build-up to and during the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.
The events will run from April to September 2022 and will ‘Shine a Light’ on Sandwell’s rich, diverse culture and showcase the best of arts, sports and culture from all ages, backgrounds, and parts of the community.
The Shine a Light Festival is a full programme of events and activities. These events and activities will take place over six weekends – one in each of Sandwell’s six towns – ending with a two weeks Shine a Light Festival at Sandwell Valley from 25 July to 8 August.
There will be a round robin of sporting activities which young people can take park in through the following schedule:
11:00 - 12:00pm School Year Groups 1 and 2
12:15 - 13:15pm School Year Groups 3 and 4
13:30 - 14:30pm School Year Groups 5 and 6
If you wish to turn up and play in non-scheduled activities, there will also be stations to take part in as young people and adults.
This particular event will be held on Saturday 11th June at Dartmouth Park in West Bromwich.
