September-December 2019
The
Albion Foundation aims to provide high quality and structured coaching
sessions, whilst maintaining a positive learning environment. Our player
pathway caters for children of all abilities through our Player Development
Centres or our Player Development Academies within the Black Country, Walsall,
Dudley or Worcestershire. The key aim of our sessions are to develop players’
core technical ability as well as their tactical understanding. All sessions delivered
are working towards the West Bromwich Albion FC Curriculum.
Player
Development Centres provide players with a potential entry into elite and
professional football environments, as well as an exit route for those children
not ready for the elite set up. The Player Development Academy has a key link
with the West Bromwich Albion FC Academy, helping to identify those that are
talented and supporting their progress through the club’s player pathway.
All
sessions are delivered by FA/UEFA qualified coaches, that are first aid and DBS
checked. Children MUST attend wearing shin pads, correct footwear (Email coach
if unsure) and a soft drink. Players should register with the ‘Lead Coach’ on
the evening as they arrive and will also need to be collected at the end of
every session. No child will be allowed to leave until the designated
parent/guardian has been seen.
All
Player Development Academy participants will take part in fixtures against
other community programme teams during half term and term holidays. Lead
coaches will confirm any further details.
